    • John Summerfield Himes - 1853 - August 27, 1919. Son of Morgan P. and Frances J. Borden Himes. Husband of Sarah A. Carpenter Himes.
      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 17, 1919 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - John S. Himes passed away at his home at Kirkland, Washington, on August 27th. Mr. Himes was a pioneer of the town of Orwell where he lived for 35 years. Thirteen years ago he moved to Western Washington where he resided at the time of his death. Mr. Himes was 66 years old. He leaves two sons and three daughters, Oren E. Himes of Syracuse, New York, Ernest M. Himes, Mable G. Himes and Mrs. Maude Montieth of Kirkland, Washington, and Mrs. R. H. Cook of Novelty, Washington. The remains arrived at Richland, Friday, September 5th. They were met by relatives and friends and borne to Orwell and laid to rest in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery.
