Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 21, 1961 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Friday for Mrs. McKinney - Mrs. Rose Barker McKinney, 76, widow of Dwight McKinney, died early Wednesday morning at the Evergreen Nursing Home following an illness of two years. She had been a patient at the nursing home only since the evening before her death. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Russell Clark of Park Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Orwell. Friends may call at the funeral home today (Thursday) 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Rosina) Manwaring of Altmar; a brother, George Barker of Orwell; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McKinney was born May 31, 1885, at Orwell and was a daughter of Edward and Amelia Pennock Barker. She was educated in the Orwell school and after her marriage to Mr. McKinney they operated a farm across from the Oswego County Sanatorium where she was employed until his death in 1942. After his death she moved into the village where she continued to reside until her death. She was a member of Pulaski Chapter 159, O.E.S., and attended the Park Methodist Church.
