      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 11, 2001 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Gareth B. Hilton Firestone Store Manager - Gareth B. Hilton, 86, Lafayette Road, Syracuse, formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday at Francis House, Syracuse. Mr. Hilton was manager of the Firestone store in Pulaski for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Prior to that he spent three years at Cornell University, Ithaca, in nuclear physics research. Before that, he had spent 14 years in aviation maintenance. Born August 30, 1915, in Rochester, son of Fay S. and Pearl D. Bennett Hilton, he attended Utica College of Syracuse University, Mohawk Community College, Utica, and aviation training school. He was a member of Pulaski Masonic Lodge 415 and the Tigris Shrine and U.S. Power Squadron, both of Watertown. His wife, Dorothy A. Hilton, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Robert A. Hilton, Syracuse. The funeral will be private. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Welter- Price Funeral Home, Syracuse. Donations may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, New York 13208.
