Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 17, 1992 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Farmer, Cattle Dealer Charles Hilton Dies - Charles L. F. Hilton, 66, Orwell, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Foster- Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park Street, Pulaski, with the Rev. Janet Gibbs, pastor of Orwell Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Orwell Volunteer Fire Department or Northern Oswego County Ambulance Service. Surviving are his wife, Catherine; two sons, John W., Orwell, and David G., Altmar; four daughters, Kathleen M. Hilton, Camden, Ella E. and Joan Hilton, both of West Monroe, and Judy Wellborn, Arlington, Texas, and four grandchildren. Born in Richland on October 17, 1925, a son of Ward and Mabel Nicholls Hilton, he was a 1943 graduate of Sandy Creek High School. He married Catherine Esther Gustaveson on July 26, 1947, at the Methodist Church, Minoa, with the Rev. Herbert Harrison, pastor of the Methodist Church, Sandy Creek, officiating. Mr. Hilton owned and operated a dairy farm. He was also a cattle dealer. He was a 45-year member of the Orwell Volunteer Fire Department.
