Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 10, 2002 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Hugh H. Hilton, Farmer, Saw Mill Owner - Hugh H. Hilton, 85, of 316 Falls Road, died Monday at his home. Mr. Hilton owned and operated a sawmill for 65 years, had also owned and operated a dairy farm and was a cabinetmaker. Born April 18, 1916, in Orwell, son of Arthur and Verna Joyner Hilton, he graduated from Pulaski High School in 1934. He married Neva Haile on October 22, 1955. She died July 18, 1963. He married Alice L. North July 7, 1972. He was a member of the Salmon River Boys bluegrass band. Surviving besides his wife are two stepsons, Robert North, Pulaski, and Allen North, Palmdale, California; a sister, Emma Teachout, Pulaski; a brother, Richard Hilton, Pulaski, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A sister, Lillian M. Rossman, and a stepdaughter, Betty L. Allen, died in 1997. A brother, Lorenzo Hilton, also died before him. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
