Wife of Rollin Irving Plummer (married August 21, 1912 at Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York) & Claude Robert Hilton (married February 9, 1917 at Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York.) [Notes: Roland Plummer was born November 21, 1891 in Mannsville, Jefferson County, New York, a son of Frederick H. and Carrie M. Stevens Plummer. Rollin died November 20, 1914 in Mannsville of a fractured skull, the result of a fall from a wagon he was driving. Rollin is buried in Maplewood Cemetery at Mannsville, New York.]
      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 25, 1923 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - Mrs. Nellie Hilton, wife of Claude Hilton passed away Friday morning, April 20, after four months of severe illness. Had she lived until May 15 she would have been 29 years of age. Mrs. Nellie Clark Plummer was united in marriage with Claude Hilton, February 9, 1917. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Dorothy, from her former marriage and by a brother, Clifford Clark, of Dexter. The funeral service was held in the home, Sunday afternoon and was attended by a large assemblage of friends and relatives. In compliance with instructions left by the deceased her friends, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrel J. Potter sang two selections, “A Perfect Day” and “The City of Gold.” Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Hilton, who was a member of the Circle of Gleaners and of Orwell Grange No. 66, has made many friends during the few years she lived in Orwell, who are saddened at her untimely passing. The husband and daughter have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
