Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Nellie E. Archibee, 89 - Nellie E. Archibee, 89, resident of Orwell since 1937, died Monday at Seneca Hill Manor in Volney. Born October 1, 1918, in Worth, she was the daughter of Ellis and Mary Ferry VanCamp. She attended Greenley School in the town of Worth and married Elwin Archibee on January 2, 1937. He died October 2, 1959. Nellie was employed by Camden Wire Company for seven years, retiring in 1980, and was previously employed by General Electric for 12 years. Surviving: one daughter, Edna Ridgeway; one son, Lawrence E. Archibee; one brother, Allen VanCamp, all of Orwell; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Adams Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the graveside service, at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
