Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 25, 1973 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Minnie B. Pennock Dies At Home - Minnie B. Pennock, 86, of R.D. 1, Route 22, Lacona, New York, died July 17 at her home. Born January 12, 1887, in the Town of Orwell, she was the daughter of Ward and Elizabeth Hilton Finster. She attended the Castor Corners School in the Town of Orwell. She was married December 28, 1904, to Marshall D. Pennock in Orwell. All their married life was spent on their farm and home near Orwell. She was a member of the Orwell Union Church and the Sandy Creek Grange. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Carl F. Pennock of Lacona and Ward F. Pennock of Adams Center and one daughter, Mrs. Yates (Myrtle) Mahaffy of Lacona. Two daughters died in infancy. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Lee Pennock of Herman, New York and Miss Sue Pennock of Croghan, New York, two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Armstrong of Orwell and Mrs. Bess Dunbar of Richland. Private funeral services were held Thursday, July 19, 1973 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Rev. Ivan Greenfield, pastor of the Orwell Union Church and Rev. Dr. Robert F. Pennock, nephew, officiated. Burial was in Orwell's Evergreen Cemetery.
