Newspaper Obituary - Monday, January 12, 1987 Banner Times - Pulaski, New York - Evelyn Nelson - Services for Evelyn Nelson, 82, of West Embargo Street, Rome, who died Tuesday, January 6, 1987, after becoming ill at her home, were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Strong & Burns Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours were at noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Born in Orwell, Mrs. Nelson lived in Rome since 1925. She was employed 44 years with Revere Rome Manufacturing Division, Rome. She was the widow of Carroll Nelson, who died in 1954, and Bruce W. Nelson, who died in 1977. Surviving are two nieces, Shirley Moore of Conklin and Mary Nickele of Phoenix, Arizona; and a nephew, David B. Nelson of Schenectady. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
