      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 21, 1960 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. B. Nelson Dies at Rome - Mrs. Mae Edwards Nelson, 67, wife of Bruce Nelson, died early Wednesday in the Rome City Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been ill for the past three months. Mrs. Nelson was born March 11, 1893, in Schenectady, the daughter of the late William and Mary Monda Edwards. She was married to Mr. Nelson, a native of Orwell, on July 13, 1918, in Schenectady. The deceased was a school teacher at the Castor Corners school in the Orwell area around 1915. She also taught at the Chateaugay school on the Redfield Road in 1925-26 and then moved to Oswego. She graduated from Oswego State Teachers College in 1928 and then moved to Rome where she taught in various schools in Oneida County. Surviving besides her husband are a son, David Nelson of Schenectady; a daughter, Mrs. S. J. Nickele of Pacific Grove, California, and five brothers and sisters. Services will be conducted by the Rev. John Baker at the Strong Funeral Parlors on Saturday at 1 o'clock, with interment following in Orwell Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rome and was a teacher in the Sunday School.
