Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 28, 1951 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Held For Mrs. E. Montieth - Mrs. Ruth Montieth, 49, wife of Everett Montieth of Vorea, town of Orwell, died last Thursday in a Utica hospital where she had been a patient for nine days. Funeral services were conducted from the Vorea church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Selden Ward, pastor of the Baptist church in Sandy Creek, officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Hilda Babcock, Orwell; Gertrude, Beverley and Janice Montieth all of Vorea; five sons, John D., Roy, Robert and Edward all of Vorea and George E. Montieth in the Army at Fort Lawton, Seattle, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Furney, Williamstown; Mrs. Goldie Durgan, Ricard, Mrs. Mildred Mitchell, Michigan; three brothers, Herman Rosher, Oswego, Clarence and Clinton Rosher of Richland, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Montieth was born in Williamstown on April 15, 1902, a daughter of George and Elizabeth Boshart Rosher. She had spent her early life in Williamstown going to Vorea following her marriage. She attended the Vorea church. [sic.]
