He served in the Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of Calvary Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; a son, Bruce A. Rhodes, and a daughter, Terri Lynn Jackson, both of Tampa; two sisters, Muriel Mullins, Watertown, N.Y., and Jane Krumpke, Palaski, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
