Howard ``Bill'' Bettinger, 65, of Sawmill Road died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness.
A native of Mannsville, Mr. Bettinger resided most of his life in the Pulaski area. He retired in 1985 after 35 years with Carrier Corp.
Mr. Bettinger was a former Pulaski village trustee. He was a member of the Albion Fish and Game Club. Mr. Bettinger was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Janet Towne; three sons, Michael of Brewerton, Patrick of Boyleston and David of Parish; three daughters, Karyl Moyer of Pulaski, Rebecca Artessa of Belle Mead, N.J., and Abby Hough of Lowville; a brother, Wallace ``Buster'' of Ellisburg; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ellisburg Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St.
