    • Born in Sandy Creek, Raymond was known by his middle name of "Ellis" for most of his life. He attended South Landing Schools. He worked as a hauler for the Dairyman's League plant in Adams, NY from 1926-1941. He later worked as a self employed carpenter and commercial fisherman and guide. He was an avid trapper and also severed as a member of the Ellisburg Fire Department.
