Predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Gerald; and brother, Sheldon. She is survived by her daughters, Alison (Jason) O'Neil, Melanie Sanders and Elizabeth (Robert) McCormick; her grandchildren, Aidan (Christina) O'Neil and Lucy O'Neil; great-grandsons, Silas and Jameson O'Neil; siblings, Harry (Rose Marie) Armitage, Emily (William) McGee, Thomas (Rosalie) Armitage; several nieces & nephews. Janet was a teacher in the East Irondequoit School District for over 20 years, spending most of those years at Durand Eastman School. Our very special thanks to family friend and care giver, Jackie Dieffendorf; Marie, Maria, Lisa W., Mohamed, Jessica and other staff members from Reservoir 3 at St. John's Home. Her family will receive friends Friday, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy. S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, 10:00am at Trinity Communion Church (759 Winona Blvd., 14617) for her funeral service. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620, or All Saints Anglican Church, PO Box 233, Pittsford, NY 14534.
