- Victor M. Waggoner, age 69, life resident of Orwell, passed away Thursday at his home. Victor was born May 17, 1943 in Orwell, the son of Merrill and Doris Waggoner. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1961, and Canton ATC in, 1964. Victor married Linda Phillips on October 14, 1967, and was a devoted family man. He was employed by the Oswego County Health Department as a Senior Health Inspector for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He had previously worked for the Oswego County Highway Department for seven years, and Dairylea as a technician for four years.
Victor was a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415 F&AM, Pulaski Puritan OES #159, and he was a DSA recipient. He was an Orwell Town Councilman, and a Republican Town and State Committeeman. He was a also member of the Oswego Masonic Charities, Media Shriner of Watertown, Royal Arch Masons, King David Council, Lake Ontario Commandery, and the Pulaski Park United Methodist Church. Victor was a lifetime member of the Orwell Fire Department.
Surviving: his wife, Linda; one son, Victor H. Waggoner of Orwell; two daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Rood of Orwell and Patricia Waggoner and her companion Daniel Trumble of Pulaski; and two grandsons, Joshua Waggoner of Orwell and Wyatt Trumble of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Park United Methodist Church, 2 Hubble Street, Pulaski, NY, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
