- Sharon's Obituary - Mother, Wife and Best Friend - Sharon Ruth Rocha, age 70, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. She was born to the late Howard and Agnes Coates on June 23, 1947, in Syracuse, New York. Spending time with family was Sharon’s passion and delight. She loved everyone around her unconditionally and never asked anything in return. She was a devoted wife and mother and wanted everything for her Children, Husband and Family. As a Champion of the family, she taught others to realize their personal strengths and the importance of being yourself. A favorite quote of hers was “Normal is Boring”. She will always be cherished for her quirky sense of humor and confident disposition. Sharon took pride in being thrifty and appreciated a quick wit. She enjoyed tending to her plants and loved reading books. She was often heard quoting from her favorite books, which included “Life, the Universe and Everything”. Sharon was married in Lubbock, TX on June 7, 1979 and is survived by her loving Husband, Jose Rocha, to whom she was married for 38 years, her Son Chris, and her two Daughters, Michelle and Andrea. She is also survived by her Brother Howard, and her two Sisters, Emily, and Sandy. She had many loving Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. We will always cherish and never forget the time we had together. The funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Beck Funeral Home located at 4765 Priem Lane Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Pastor Joe Ortiz, who knew Sharon personally, will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Sharon’s favorite charity.
