    • Newspaper Obituary - June 4, 1983 The Morning Call - Allentown, Pennyslvania - Mrs. Elizabeth R. Veit - Mrs. Elizabeth R. Veit, 84, of 3317 Walnut St., Bethlehem, died Friday in Gracedale, Nazareth R.1. She was the widow of Edward H. Veit. She was a mail and information supervisor at the Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles, for 20 years before retiring in 1963. Born in Edwardsville, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Catherine (Jones) Jenkins. She was a member of the First Welsh Baptist Church, Wilkes-Barre. Surviving are a daughter Lois, wife of William Eckhoff, with whom she resided; three brothers, Jack of Los Angeles, and Vivan and Wesley, both of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Hendler of Rochester; eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Private services will be held at the convienance of the family from the Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 4th and Chesut streets, Coplay.
