    • James Suel Spaulding was the son of John Gilbert Spaulding and Adelia Cornelia Crawford. His paternal grandparents were John Spaulding and Margaret Peterson.

      James married Alma Geneva Esselstyn on 14 March 1888.

      In 1900 James and Alma were living at 2 McComb Street in Ft. Atkinson. Living with them is Annis Esselstyn listed as James' mother in law. She was born in July of 1838 in Ohio.

      Alma is the mother of 2 children, 1 living. She was born in September of 1863 in Wisconsin. James was a teamster.
