- AILENE R. DIFFIN - Newspaper November 1, 1999 | Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) - Ailene R. Diffin, 52, of Pinnacle Road,West Monroe,died Sunday at home. Born in Syracuse, she also lived in Cicero and Cleveland before moving to West Monroe 25 years ago. She graduated from North Syracuse High School. She and her husband owned and operated Diffindale Landscaping in West Monroe for 29 years. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Church. Survivors: Her husband of 31 years, Kenneth; two daughters, Karen Norton of West Monroe and Amy LaClair of Palermo; a son, Robert of West Monroe; her mother, Naomi Allen of Cicero; four sisters, Dale Denslow of Hastings, Edith Gascoigne of Central Square and Mary Kerr and Lisa Allen, both of Cicero; two brothers, Stephen Allen of Hampton, Va., and Sandy Allen of Cicero; seven grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernadette's Church, Route 49, Constantia. Burial, Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square. Contributions: Hospice of Oswego County and Central New York.
