    • Harriet Belle Kennedy, 96, went home to the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.

      Born in Waynes-sburg, Pa. on November 16, 1911, she was a resident of Manchester since 1941.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cecil Kennedy; her son, Harreld William Kennedy; grandchildren, Robert Kennedy, Jr., David Kennedy; great-grandchild, Rebecca Humble; and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Leona M. Phelps of Manchester, Beatrice Carpenter of Somerton, Ohio, Carol (Robert) Atkinson of Wheaton, Ill, Dorothy Kay (Glenn) Slabaugh of Bradenton, Fla.; sons, George (Donna) Kennedy of Randolph, Ohio, Robert (Jean) Kennedy of Canal Fulton, Kenneth (Cheri) Kennedy of Manchester; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

      The family wishes to give a special thank you to caregiver and friend, Jennifer Dallas.

      Funeral Service WEDNESDAY 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St., (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Jack Brown officiating. Burial Manchester Cemetery, New Franklin. Friends may call at the funeral home TUESDAY 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Manchester Christian Church, 930 W. Nimisila Rd., Akron, Ohio 44319.
