    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 20, 1950 Oswego Pallium Times - Ernest J. Henderson - Parish - Ernest J. Henderson, 80, of 1403 State street, Watertown, died about 10 Friday night in an Ogdensburg hospital, where he had been a patient for more than a year. Death was attributed to chronic heart disease. He had been in failing health for years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 from the funeral home and at 2:30 in the Calvary Tabernacle, 248 High street. Rev. Allan E. Mitchell, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was in North Watertown cemetery. Surviving Mr. Henderson are his wife, Mrs. Florence P. Ives Henderson, two daughters, Miss H. Esther Henderson, 1408 State street, and Mrs. John B. (Ruth I.) Smith, 1138 Holcomb street; two sisters, Mrs. Ina Beebe, South Coventry, Conn., and Mrs. Mary LaRock, 665 Olive street, and a brother, Earl Henderson, Ogdensburg. Mr. Henderson was born in Parish, Oswego county, March 1, 1869, a son of the late Harvey M. and Lydia Henderson. He was educated in Parish schools and subsequently was associated with his father, who owned and operated saw mills in Oswego county. As a young man he went to Watertown and was employed for a time at the New York Air Brake company plant. Later, he took up carpentry and built a number of homes in Watertown.
