- Judith A. Workman Obituary
Judith A. Workman, age, 80, longtime resident of Pulaski passed away Friday at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Oswego. Judith was born April 14, 1944, in Fulton, the daughter of Charles and Esther Everson Stowell. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1962. Judith was married to her husband of 38-years, Gary Workman on June 9, 1963, who passed away January 18, 2001. She was a sales representative for Avon for over 40 years, earning many accolades for being a top seller. Judy and her husband were also devoted foster parents to 43 children over many years.
She was a life member of the Robert Edwards Post #358 Auxiliary in Pulaski. Judy enjoyed playing Bunco and bowled in many leagues. One of Judy’s favorite hobbies was camping in the RV with her husband and their yearly trip to Nags Head, NC.
Surviving, are her children, Christina Alberry and Christopher “Toby” Workman both of Pulaski, daughter in-law, Diane Workman of Liverpool, sister, Gayle Bickerstaff of Pulaski and brothers, Fred (Glenda) Stowell of Pulaski and Barry Stowell of Atoka, TN, and sisters-in-law, Barbara Workman of Knoxville, TN, Sandy Stowell of North Syracuse, and Terri Ann Stowell of Mexico, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her son, Cary Workman on September 15, 2021, and siblings, Joanne Moffett, Duane Stowell and Terry Stowell, and brother in-law, Max Moffett.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell, in the spring at a time to be announced. Arrangements in care of Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
