      of Whitney PointAllen Barnes Pfluger, 71, of Whitney Point, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marilyn Pfluger; children, Mark E., Christine L., Brad A., Fred E. III, all of Polaski, Alan (AJ), Whitney Point; stepchildren, Ken Sauve, Pamela Cummings, Sandra Sauve (predeceased); eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Dunton; two brothers, George Pfluger, Charles J. Pfluger; half brother, Robert; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and his first wife, Rita E. Russo; and predeceased by half brothers, Harry and Fred. Allen was a loving, devoted husband, father, and friend. "No family has ever been more blessed by the man he was."
      Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Cemetery with Father Jerry Katz officiating. The family will receive friends at Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th Street, Whitney Point, New York, on Thursday, November 9, 2006, from 4-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to a local emergency squad. The family would like a special Thank You to Cathy and Greg Bretz, RN, PA, personal friends and the wonderful staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital ICU.
