Miss Valarie Margaret Fargo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Fargo, Henderson, was married to Kurt Edward Gehrke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gehrke, Ellisburg, Route 289, June 23 in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Harkins officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Mrs. Veronica Smith, Gouverneur, was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Vicki Sharratt, Niceville, Fla., and Mrs. Virginia Nelson, Spring Lake, N.C., both sisters of the bride, Mrs. Donna Reuter, Irondequoit, Mrs. Jamie Lennox, Henderson, and Mrs. Karen Richmond, Henderson. Flower girls were Holly and Leslie Schroeder, Colridge, Neb., nieces of the bridegroom.
Eric Gehrke, Ellisburg, was his brother's best man. Ushers were Jeff Fargo, Pulaski, Joe Fargo, Henderson, both brothers of the bride, Chris Proto, Wallingford, Conn., Richard Brock, Connecticut, and Harold Reuter, Irondequoit. Ring bearers were Harold and Michael Nelson, Spring Lake, nephews of the bride.
Mrs. Gehrke is a 1984 graduate of Henderson Central School and is employed by Belloffs Department Store, Adams. Mr. Gehrke, a 1985 graduate of Lyman Hall High School, Wallingford, is employed by Fairlawn Farms, Ellisburg.
The couple is living in Ellisburg.
