- ERMA E. FARGO, 79, DIES IN WATERTOWN

Erma E. Fargo, 79, formerly of the Fargo Road, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she had been a patient since May 24.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. Anthony Keeffe, pastor of St. John's Catholic Church, Pulaski, officiating. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, town of Henderson.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Surviving are four sons, Richard J. and Ronald J., both of Henderson, Lou E., Rochester, and Raymond R., Sandy Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Alex (Joanne) Cartier, Malone, Mrs. Charles (Jane) Fernandes, Adams, Mary Beardsley, Chandler, Ariz., and Mrs. John (Dale) Brett, Sodus; 36 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Green, Pulaski.
Two daughters, Gale Fargo and Gloria Gracey, died before her.
Born on May 13, 1915, in Watertown, a daughter of Roy and Freda Moore Green, she attended Henderson Central School and married R. John Fargo on Nov. 15, 1934. The couple lived on Harbor View Road for several years. In the 1940s, they operated a dairy farm on the Fargo Road. Mr. Fargo died March 8, 1958, at the age of 44.
After her husband's death, Mrs. Fargo sold the farm and moved to the village of Henderson. In 1978, she moved to Spring Brook Apartments in Pulaski, where she lived until a year ago, when she entered the Madonna Home.
She was a member of the Henderson Fish and Game Club.
