- December 4, 2003 Norman K. Dana, 64, of Parish, NY, died Thursday. He was born in Syracuse and lived in Parish many years. He was owner and operator of Dana's Paving Co. of Parish, NY for 40 years. He was active in raising hunting dogs and the Parish Little League. Survivors: wife of 45 years, the former Dian Freeden; two sons, William Dana, Altmar, and Norman Dana, Parish; four daughters, Margaret Eastman, Mexico, Jo-Ann Ripka, Pulaski, Jackie Pettit, Palermo, and Jeannie Curry, Kasoag; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother James Dana, Mexico. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Harter Funeral Home, 2983 West Main Street, Parish, NY. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek, NY. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
