Newspaper Obituary - Friday, October 4, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Albert M. Stevens, Navy Veteran Albert M. Stevens, 84, Pulaski, died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Stevens served with the Navy from 1927 to 1950 and was a veteran of World War II. He was a civilian employee with San Diego Naval Yards, California, for several years and moved to the Pulaski area in 1974. Born March 12, 1912 [sic], in Marshall, a son of Ernest and Grace Anderson Stevens, he married Mae E. Rose Stevens on August 10, 1974. Mrs. Stevens died October 1, 1994. Surviving are four stepsons, Ernest O. Stevens, Pulaski, the Rev. Carrie F. Stevens, Mexico, Norman J. Stevens, Lacona, and Wayne A. Stevens, Syracuse; two step-daughters, Barbara A. White, Pulaski, and LouAnn Hedger, Adams, 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A brother, Orville Stevens, died June 7, 1960. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, with the Rev. Lorraine Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Orwell Union Church.
