Miss Dawn Orinda Babcock, 8641 Tryon Road, Pulaski, daughter of Mrs. Nina O. Hershey, Cherry Hill, N.J., and the late Edward Peter Babcock, was married to Jeffrey John Fargo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fargo, Henderson, at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Adams, with the Rev. Dennis Knight, pastor, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Adam C. Babcock, Woodbridge, Va. She chose a gown of white satin and imported Alencon lace with an open neckline, puffed sleeves, an a pearled bodice enhanced by a chapel-length train edged in Alencon lace. Her veil was of cathedral-length imported silk illusion with scattered pearls complemented by a wreath of salmon, jade, and white flowers.
Mrs. Betsy Roberts, outer Spring Street, Adams, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Leona Ottinger, Dover, Del., was maid of honor.
Rick VanBenschoten, Henderson, was best man. Jack Fargo, Henderson, brother of the bridegroom, was usher. Timothy Babcock, New York City, brother of the bride, was organist.
Following a reception at the Adams Center Community Building, the couple left for a one-week wedding trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina.
The bride is a 1986 graduate of Cortland State University College with a bachelor of arts degree in education, and a 1987 graduate of Albany State University with a master's degree in Spanish education. She was employed by Pulaski Academy and Central School for two years.
The bridegroom, a 1982 graduate of Henderson Central High School, is employed by Michael P. Canale, general contractor, Mannsville.
The couple will reside at 8641 Tryon Road, Pulaski.
