Louis C. Goodsell

Louis C. Goodsell, age 93, life resident of Fernwood, passed away Sunday at Seneca Hill Manor in Volney. Louis was born September 5, 1921 in Fern-wood, the son of Charles (Fred) and Grace Geer Goodsell. He graduated from Pulaski Academy School in 1940. On April 29, 1945, Louis married Dorismae Addington, who passed away April 2, 2013. He was last employed by Oswego County as a court attendant for 15 years. He was previously employed by Crouse Hinds in Syracuse for 25 years. Prior to working at Crouse Hinds, Louis worked for the Town of Richland, NY Air Brake, and Goodsell's Feed & Grain. He also owned L.C. Goodsell Coal and served as a Town of Richland Republican Committeeman. Louis was a member of the Fernwood United Methodist Church and the South Richland Cemetery Association. Louis enjoyed spending time at Pine Grove, where the Goodsell family has owned a camp since 1941. More than anything, Louis enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Dean Goodsell and his companion, Stephanie Green and Allen (Shirley) Goodsell, all of Fernwood; a daughter, Carol (Gary) Hobbs of Glens Falls, NY; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery in Fernwood. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.
