- Obituary of Verna C Britton
Verna C. Britton, 90, of Oneida, formerly of Williamstown, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Oneida Extended Care Facility.
She was born on March 9, 1924, in Williamstown, NY, the daughter of Anson and Mary Miller Oyer. She attended Williamstown schools.
Verna was a machinist for Laribee Wire in Camden of fifteen years.
She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Pulaski and the Senior Citizens of Williamstown.
Verna enjoyed quilting and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Nancy and Dick Babcock, of Mexico, Alice and Fred Baird, of Redfield, Susan Muckey, of Central Square, Sandra and Floyd Henderson, of West Dale, Shirley and Allen Goodsell, of Pulaski, Sheila Vance, of Henderson, and Michele and Robert Cullup, of Williamstown; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don Britton, Jr., and Bruce and Lisa Britton, all of Williamstown; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; thirteen great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc, 9464 St. Rt. 13, Camden. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Williamstown. Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Verna's memory to the 7th Day Adventist Church of Pulaski or the Senior Citizens of Williamstown.
