      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 20, 1977 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Raymond Nutting, Age 65, Succumbs - Raymond L. Nutting, 65, of 210 Glenwood Avenue, Syracuse, a Sandy Creek native, died Wednesday, July 13, in Crouse-Irving Hospital, Syracuse, following a long illness. Born February 1, 1912. at Sandy Creek, son of Seward and Mary Otis Nutting, he attended Sandy reek schools and married Dorothy Riley December 27, 1935. at Mexico. Mr. Nutting had resided 27 years in Syracuse and was employed 30 years as a salesman for the Ward Baking Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Syracuse. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nutting; two sons, Raymond C., LaFargeville. and Sgt. First Class John E., Fort Sill, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Nolan, Syracuse, Mrs. Bruce (Jeanne) Chapman, Pennellville, and Mrs. Edwin (Judy) Pierce, North Syracuse; two brothers, Gerald, Brushton, and Arnold. Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Doris Stewart, Syracuse; 32 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Friday at the Donald W. Knight Funeral Home, 308 Court Street, Syracuse. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his name to the First United Methodist Church. Syracuse, or to the Syracuse Turners Youth Fund.
