    • Kenneth J. Gates, 61, of 93 Craw Road, Mexico, died Friday at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. He was born in Vermilion. He was a truck driver in Phoenix and a member of the Midstate Stock Car Club. Survivors: His wife of 39 years, the former Ruth Craw; three daughters, Shelly Graves of Mexico and Shari Caufield and Stacy Gates, both of Palermo; four sons, Scott, Steve, Stanley and Shad, all of Palermo; his father, Kenneth of Vermilion; three sisters, Shirley Gates of Hastings and Sheila Minckler and Patricia Rice, both of Vermilion; two brothers, Lewis of Mexico and James of Vermilion; 11 grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial, Vermilion Cemetery. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 9 Washington St., Mexico.
