    • Newspaper Article - April 29, 1943 The DeRuyter Gleaner - Kenneth Stewart - Pfc. Terrance Stewart was called home because of the death of his brother, Kenneth, aged 18, who was killed in an automobile accident early Saturday morning at Delphi Falls. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was at Fabius. Surviving besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stewart are three sisters, Elizabeth and Arlene of Fabius and Mrs. Leman Ford of Bouckville; five brothers, Ralph of DeRuyter, Staff Sgt. Edgar, Hawaiian Islands; Pfc. James, North Africa; Pfc. Terrance, Charleston, S.C. and Harry of Fabius.

      Newspaper Obituary - April 24, 1943 Syracuse Herald Journal - Youth Killed, 3 Others Hurt in Accidents - Kenneth Stewart, Fabius, Dies Instantly As Car Hits Abutment. An 18-year-old youth was killed and three other persons injured in a series of accidents in the city and county yesterday and early today. The youth killed was Kenneth Linn Stewart, son of Mr. and Mr. Thomas Stewart of Fabius, whose car crashed into a concrete abutment as he was making a curve just after he left a Delphi Falls dance hall and started home at 1:15 A.M. today. He was alone in the car and is believed to have been killed instantly. His sister, Miss Elizabeth Stewart, and a younger brother, Harry, 17, were in a car just behind that of the victim. They heard the crash and got Kenneth out of his wrecked car and into their own, speeding with him to the home of Dr. E.B. Merwin in Manlius. Dr. Merwin pronounced the youth dead and the body was removed to the Onondaga County Morgue, where it was said Stewart had suffered a broken neck and other serious injuries.
