- EDWARD WAGGONER RITES MONDAY
Funeral services for Edward Waggoner, 77, who died Friday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Colvin, Maple avenue were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon from the Paul K. Foster funeral home. Rev. Herbert Harrison of Sandy Creek officiated. Burial was in the Wesleyan cemetery, Lacona.
He was born in Carlisle, Pa., May l, 1865, the son of Henry and Mary Ellen Murphy Waggoner. At the age of 15 he went with his parents in Odebolt, Iowa, and in 1895 came east to take up farming, spending the rest of his life at this occupation in the vicinity of Lacona and Pulaski. He was married in 1896 to Miss Mina Cross of Lacona, who died in 1919.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. E. Flovd Kent of Sandy Creek; a granddaughter, Miss Marie Kent
of Sandy Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Colvin and Mrs. Phoebe Heneman of Fostoria, Iowa, and two brothers, Albert of Odebolt, Iowa, and John Waggoner of Sioux City, Iowa.
