A celebration of life service for David M. Muir, 32, Altmar, will be Jan. 25 in Sebastian, Fla.
Mr. Muir died Jan. 4 in a house fire in Richland that claimed the life of his longtime girlfriend, Michelle Lance, and six members of her family.
Local services will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
Mr. Muir was an equipment operator in Florida.
Born July 12, 1976, in Oswego, son of Kenneth A. Sr. and Beatrice Webb Muir, he was raised in Williamstown, graduated from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central school, Parish, resided in Sebastian and returned to New York three years ago.
Surviving are three brothers, Kenneth A. Jr., of Sebastian, and Christopher and Richard Cook, both of Constantia; two sisters, Shelly Cook, Brick, N.J., and Christine Clement, Bernhards Bay; his mother's longtime companion who helped raise him, Randall "Papa" Muir; his paternal grandmother, Marie Muir, Vero Beach, Fla.; his maternal grandmother, Jeanne Seamans, Copenhagen, and a large extended family.
