Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 19, 1959 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Held for William Taplin, 91 - William Henry Taplin, 91, died Saturday evening at the Evergreen Nursing Home where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been in poor health the past few years, and had made his home at the residence of his son, Claude Taplin at Blind Creek Cove near Sandy Creek. Surviving besides his son, Claude, are two other sons, Elmon of Oswego and Wyon of Richland; a sister and brother in Alma, Michigan, and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Russell Clark, pastor of Park Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Richland Cemetery. Mr. Taplin was born August 25, 1868, at Alma, Michigan, and was the son of John and Eliza Wyman Taplin. He was married 66 years ago to the former Alberta Yerdon of Redfield, who died in 1956. He had lived more than 50 years in the vicinity of Richland until the past three years since his wife's death.
