Philip R. Woolson, 23, of O'Mara Drive, Brewerton, died Saturday in the town of Van Buren from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Syracuse, Mr. Woolson lived in Brewerton most of his life.
He was employed the past two years as a steel worker with J.R. Clancy Inc. For four years before that, he worked as a carpet installer with Onondaga Carpets.
Mr. Woolson also worked part time as a security guard for Pinkerton Security.
He attended Paul V. Moore High School with the class of 1986.
He was an active hunter and fisherman, and belonged to the National Rifle Association.
His father, Gene Woolson, died May 12, 1990.
Surviving are his mother, Irene Woolson of Brewerton; three sisters, Kimberly Zelinski of Dale City, Va., Evonne Rogers and Bonnie Woolson, both of Brewerton; his maternal grandparents, Fredrick and Ingetraude Schoeck of Westvale; his paternal grandparents, Richard and June Woolson of Orwell; three nieces and three nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at a time to be announced Tuesday at Caughdenoy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Tompkins officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Krueger Brewerton Chapel, 9525 S. Main St., Brewerton.
