      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 9, 1956 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. William Taplin Dies Wednesday - Mrs. Alberta Yerdon Taplin, wife of William H . Taplin, died Wednesday morning, February 8, 1956 at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Taplin, where they had been staying since last September. Mrs. Taplin, who would have been 87 on the 20th of this month, had been ill with grippe as have her husband and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Taplin. The others, however, are improved. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary October 11, 1953 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Taplin. Survivors include her husband, three sons, Elmon Taplin of Oswego, Wyon Taplin of Oswego and Claude Taplin of Sandy Creek R.D. 1; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral will' be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home in Pulaski, and burial, will be In Richland cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9.Alberta and Will spent their early married life in Redfield, later moving to Richland, New York.
