Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 28, 1849 Richland Courier - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this town, on Monday morning last, of a short illness, Mr. William Weed, in the 65th year of his age.
Newspaper Article - Wednesday, December 5, 1849 Richland Courier - Pulaski, New York - Surrogate's Notice - At a Surrogate's Court held in and for the County of Oswego, at the County Judge's office, in Mexico, on the 24th day of November A. D. 1849, present Hon. O. H. Whitney, County Judge. In the matter of the application of Freelove Weed, Administratrix and Bradley Higgins Administrator &c, of William Weed, deceased intestate, for authority to mortgage, lease or sell the real estate of the said intestate, for the payment of his debts. On reading and filing the application of Freelove Weed, Administratrix and Bradley Higgins. Administrator of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of William Weed, late of Richland, deceased intestate, for authority to mortgage. lease or sell the real estate of the said intestate, for the payment of his debts. It is ordered that all persons interested in the estate of the said William Weed, deceased, appear before the County Judge of the County of Oswego at his office in Mexico, in said county. on the 28th day of January next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon of that day, then and there to show cause why authority should not be given to the said Administratrix and Administrator, to mortgage, lease or sell so much of the real estate of the said William Weed. deceased, as shall be necessary to pay his debts. William and his wife are buried in Pulaski Cemetery on his parents lot.
