Wesley C. Sperling, 74, formerly of Route 69, died Sunday in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Oswego, after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, 7430 Main St., with Rev. Donald Dodds, pastor of Parish United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. today at the funeral home.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. David Sperling, Geneva, and Charles Sperling, Black River; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Horst, South Lyons, Mich., Mrs. Kathy Rasbeck, Oswego, and Mrs. Carol Zarzecki, Liverpool; 10 grandchildren, and a sister, Edith Perry, Parish.
Born in Amboy on April 27, 1914, a son of Charles and Verda Drought Sperling, he was a graduate of Camden High School. His wife, Marian, died in 1981. He retired from the Oswego County Highway Department in 1977.

A native of Amboy, Mr. Sperling lived in Parish several years. He retired in 1977 from the Oswego County Highway Department. Mr. Sperling was a graduate of Camden High School.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Horst of South Lyons, Mich., Kathy Rasbeck of Oswego and Carol Zarzecki of Liverpool; two sons, David of Geneva and Charles of Black River; a sister, Edith Perry of Parish; and 10 grandchildren.
