Stanley J. Zarzecki

Stanley J. Zarzecki, 67, of Oceanside Village, Surfside Beach, South Carolina, a former resident of Parish and Cicero, died April 22, 2012, at his home. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Leo and Catherine Evans Zarzecki. He retired from Lockheed-Martin in Liverpool in 2005 after 38 1/2 years. He was a former union steward witih Locan #320. He was a proud Army veteran, serving in Vietnam from 1967-1969.
He was a member of the Cicero American Legion Post, the VFW of Murrell's Inlet, SC, and D.A.V.-Conley-Nojaim Post Chapter 30. He was an avid SU, Mets and Bills fan. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, and St. Michael's Catholic Church in Garden City, SC.
Surviving: his wife of 41 years, the former Carol Sperling; two sons, Michael (Michelle) Zarzecki of Liverpool and Brian (Terri) Zarzecki of Fulton; one daughter, Karen Zarzecki of Myrtle Beach; and two granddaughters, Hailei and Morgan.
A memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cicero, NY. Graveside military services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday from Harter Funeral Home, 9525 S. Main St. (Rte. 11), Brewerton, NY.
Contributions in Stanley's memory may be made to Wounded Warriors or the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
