    • Newspaper Obituary - October 19, 1972 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Charles Sperling Succumbs at 84 - Parish - Charles F. Sperling, 84 of Parish, died Wednesday at a nursing home in Williamstown. He was a retired farmer and life resident of Parish and a member of the Parish Grange. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edith Perry; two sons, Wesley of Parish and Vernon Sperling of West Covina, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harter Funeral Home, the Rev. C. A. Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
