Obituary of Deborah A. Richards
Deborah Ann Richards, age 60, long-time resident of Pulaski, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday in a motorcycle accident. Deborah was born December 21, 1958 in Malone, NY, the daughter of Donald and Joanne Farmer Richards. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1976. Deborah was married to Larry Phillips, who passed away February 12, 2016. She was employed by the Parish American Legion for the past several years. Prior to that, she spent many years as an IT Technician. Deborah was a member of the Parish American Legion Auxiliary.
Deborah will be remembered for her grace, humility, creativity, independence, and optimism. She fully embraced life and loved her family fiercely. She was also an animal lover and was an environmental enthusiast particularly fascinated by bald eagles.
Surviving are two daughters, Shannon (Bill) Champion of Massachusetts and Stacey Phillips of Pulaski, one son, Randolph (Kayla) Hill of Adams Center, her mother, Joanne Richards of Parish, two sisters, Cynthia Horning of Parish and Laurie Wakeman of Pulaski, two brothers, Donald Richards and Gregg Richards both of Parish, and six grandchildren, Haven, Kailyne, Logan, Lillian, Anya, and Violet.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Thursday, June 13th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. A gathering of friends and family will follow the services at the Parish American Legion to celebrate her life.
