Douglas J. Marcino, 29, of 7742 North St., former nurse at the New York City Medical Center, died of cancer Sunday morning at his home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with Rev. John VonHarten, pastor of the Pulaski Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance or the Pulaski Baptist Church.
Surviving are his stepfather and mother, Stanley and Darlene Adydan, Pulaski; his father and stepmother, Dominic and Priscilla Marcino, Fulton; a brother, Donald, Lawrenceville, Ga.; his paternal grandmother, Rose Marcino, Fulton; his maternal grandparents, Ward and Blanche Burns, Pulaski; an aunt and an uncle.
Born in Fulton on July 10, 1958, a son of Dominic and Darlene Mitchell Marcino, he was graduated from Pulaski High School in 1976. He was graduated from Ithaca College in 1980 with a degree in hospital administration, and from Tompkins Community College, Cortland, in 1982, with a degree in registered nursing. He later did graduate work at New York University.
Mr. Marcino had formerly been employed as a critical care nurse at the New York City Medical Center for five years.
He was a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Pulaski Baptist Church.
