Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 6, 1923 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - A dispatch received Saturday night by Fred Harrington, of Port Ontario, announced the death of his father, Frank Harrington, 79, which occurred at about 2 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, at the Soldiers Home at Bath, where he had been under treatment during the past two months. He was a native of Jefferson county, born March 27, 1844, at Ellisburg, where he passed his boyhood days and attended the district school, and was employed on a farm for a long time. Mr. Harrington remained at that place until 1887, when he moved to Port Ontario with his family and where he had since lived, following farming up to about a decade ago. Mr. Harrington was a veteran of the civil war. He enlisted at Sackets Harbor in Company E, Tenth New York heavy artillery and served about four years. Receiving his honorable discharge he returned to Ellisburg and again resumed the management of his farm. He was a member of J. B. Butler Post No. 111, G. A. R., of this village, and of Daysville Grange. His wife died last January. He was the last of a family of two brothers and a sister. The son, Fred, is the only close surviving relative. Funeral today, at 2 p.m. from the home in Port Ontario.
