- February 27, 1901 - Albert M. Spink, age 64 years, Married, Blacksmith, born in New York, resided in Richland Township 8 years, Son of E. Spink born in Vermont, and Minnie Vincent born in New York, Died in Pulaski of heart disease, dropsy and kidney disease.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 6, 1901 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Albert M. Spink - Wednesday morning, February 27, 1901, Albert M. Spink died of heart disease at his home in this village. Mr. Spink was born in Depawville, Jefferson County, New York, September 18, 1836, and when ten years of age removed with his parents to Gouverneur, New York. There he learned the trade or carriage making of his father, but possessing a marked talent for music became a proficient musician and for several years was known as a successful music teacher in the northern part of the state and in Canada. Later in life he worked at his trade. In 1864 he married Mary A. Hemens, of Port Ontario, New York, who with the following children survive him. H. E. Spink, of Oswego New York, Mrs. Rev. W. A. Haven, Middleville, New York, Alice, Melzar, Ora and Florence, of Pulaski. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. James Seavy, of Gouverneur, New York, Mrs. Edwin Hemens, of Port Ontario, and Andrew Spink, of Cleveland, Ohio. Early in life he became a Christian and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church. Socially, Mr. Spink was a cordial man, always having a pleasant word for those he met. He was extremely devoted to his family who now mourn the loss of a kind sympathetic husband and father. The funeral was held at his late residence on Port street, Friday afternoon, the Rev.
