Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 25, 1969 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski Man Dies, Hurt In Route 11 Crash - Pulaski - Injuries suffered in a two-car accident on September 9 at Maple View resulted Wednesday in the death of one driver, Arnold V. Davis, 77, of 7433 Salina Street, in State University Hospital, Syracuse. His death raises the county 1969 highway death toll to 14, three below the 1968 toll at this date. According to Trooper Ernest R. Bellardini of Pulaski State Police substation, Davis was traveling south of Route 11 when his car was involved in a collision with a westbound car on Route 104. That car was operated by Robert Heaphy. A summons was issued Davis, charging failure to yield right of way, Bellardini said. Davis, a native of DeKalb Junction, St. Lawrence County, attended the local schools. He was plant manager at Sheffield Farms milk plant here and retired in 1957 from the firm's Homer plant. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge 648 IOOF. His wife, the former Miss May B. Nicholson, died in 1965. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Evelyn M. Davis, Syracuse, and a sister, Mrs. Maude Robb, Pulaski. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with burial in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
