      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 10, 1969 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Bradford E. Cable - Bradford E. Cable, 78, died Wednesday evening, April 2, 1969 in the Meyers Home for the Aged, Camden, after a long illness. Son of Edgar E. and Angie Streator Cable, he was born February 16, 1891, in Orwell and received his education in Amboy area schools. On February 16, 1911, in Amboy, he married the former Lena Aicholtz. She passed away some time ago. Mr. Cable owned and operated the Cable farm until his retirement in 1962. He was a member and trustee of the Amboy United Methodist Church, and had served as supervisor and justice of the peace for the Town of Amboy. He was a member of the Williamstown Lodge, F&AM, the Shrine, the Amboy Grange, and was a former member of the Dairymen’s League and the GLF. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Combs and Mrs. Carl Whitman, both of Long Beach, California, and a niece, Mrs. Harold Massey, Camden. The funeral was April 5, 1969 with private prayer services at 1:30 p.m. at the E. H. McDaniels Funeral Home, 47 Miner Avenue, Camden, and at 2 at the Amboy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernest W. Bittner, pastor of the United Church, Presbyterian, Camden, officiating. Burial will be in Orwell cemetery.
