Blanche S. Burns, 86, of 88 North St., died Friday at the Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton.
She lived in Pulaski from 1928 to 1966, when she moved to Sandy Pond. She moved to the home of her daughter, Darlene Adydan, in Pulaski two years ago. She was a member of Pulaski Baptist Church.
Born July 7, 1912, in Parish, a daughter of Carey and Mae Stewart, attended Parish schools. A marriage to Kenneth U. Mitchell ended in divorce. She married Ward F. Burns on Sept. 24, 1949. He died May 5, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, a son, Donald Mitchell, Bullhead City, Ariz., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Brett Charsky, pastor of Pulaski Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
